walking the narrow way
of his word
journeying and battling
fighting the fight of faith
His power within

Yes, joy in the journey but trials abound
the angry accuser seeks to bring me down
and a sinful heart prone to fail
but Jesus is with me, and will bring me home

journeying while an enemy
prowls around as a lion
to devour
I won't give in, why should I fear?
Lord, help me resist him and
see him flee

journeying while giving thanks
thanks for the strength He gives
as grace abounds
greater grace than all my sin
what He's started in me
He will complete

journeying with suffering
yet I see a purpose in
each dark place
each trial that comes can only make
me more like the Christ I love
and seek to serve

my King of love will bring me home...

This is the title track to the "journey" project. Inspiration comes from a quote by John Bunyan. In his auto biography, Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, he talks about the struggles of the Christian life and exclaims: "Oh! the diligence of Satan! Oh! the desperateness of man's heart!". There is of course grace abounding for sinners who make Christ their Lord and Saviour.

Faith is a journey. Faith in Christ is a walk with God that takes the believer along many different roads. A call to start the journey through the message of the Gospel, a response of faith in the One who died on the cross. A journey of joy, love, peace, but at times suffering and trials. Battles with sin and Satan, but always grace to keep us strong and to bring us to our Journey's end; to be with the One who called us to start walking in faith.
